I'm very excited to announce that we have pre-sold 63 books as of Monday morning!
You see, when a nonprofit organization prints a book, cost is a bit of a concern. Raising money is nifty, but only if you're SURE you're going to raise money. So, we did all the math (and boy, do I HATE math). It turns out, we needed to pre-sell 64 books to cover the costs of printing 200 books. After those 64 books are sold, all... did you catch that? ALL!... of the book sale income goes directly to orphanCare International.
While I'm hoping the book goes global, we get a book deal with a major publishing company, and Oprah does a program about how amazing we are, 63 books is an impressive milestone. Now, your mission (should you choose to accept it... and why wouldn't you???) is to sell more books. Leave me a quick note and let me know that you've linked to www.meanttobebook.blogspot.com. Tell all your friends on Facebook! Don't forget to Twitter. And if technology isn't your thing, I guess it will be okay if you simply tell people about this cool project.
18 authors. 18 adoption stories. 18 families whose lives have been changed forever by international adoption. 18 chances to cry and laugh. Don't you want to read it???

Linked it, ordered it! I'm waiting to see if the family buys their own copies... otherwise, I see Christmas gift possibilities... :-)
I think I need to order a fourth copy, so that would push it up to 64 even if no one else orders (though I know they will). You know I'm linked, but I'll try to write something else about it as well. My burning question, though, is do we ALL get to go on Oprah????? *LOL*
