So, guess what I've been up to for the last eight-ish months? My friend Meredith and I have been working with some of the coolest people in the adoption community to create a book. Yes, a book!
Meant To Be, Stories of International Adoption is a compilation of stories about the ways children have come into our families and the significant moments that have let us know that some how... some way... the child who found our family was the child we were meant to love.
The authors have adopted from several countries. There are single moms and a single dad. There are families with one child and families with three. There are parents who were themselves adopted. And each of these families has a unique story to tell about the quirks of fate, guidance from Heaven, or strange coincidences that led to the perfect ending to their adoption story. Except for one family... who is still waiting for their perfect ending.
And the very best part? All of the profits - - ALL of the profits - - from the sale of this book will go to orphanCare International to benefit children in countries far from here.
